Running in the rain

When hubby got home from work I took the opportunity to go for a walk run. I went for a walk/run with Jos on Sunday but she got a bit cranky towards the end so I decided to let them have some quality time while I ducked out. I am not particularly fit so I wasnt gone long.

We had weird weather today. Sun then rain, then wind, then clouds. When I left home I was not expecting it to rain. I was a fair distance from home when the rain pelted down. I was going to head back but I was soaked anyway and it was warm so I continued on my merry way. The cool rain, the warm air and the burn in my legs definitely made for a good experience. Now to keep it up and get my body a little firmer, fitter and flatter :)

Another highlight, as is every time I fetch Jos from daycare - her smile when I fetch her, the cuddles and tonight she was handing out a few kisses. I love my little girl so much and look forward to having the day with her tomorrow..maybe I will attempt a walk (weather permitting) after a little visit to the park.

Cheerio :)

Feel the love

I was on a bit of a high on Monday. 4 hours sleep had the opposite effect on me and made me a bit hyper (quite the contrary today) Anyway, during the holidays I was thinking about loving others and having compassion (I was feeling the love at work yesterday, just loving all my colleagues despite our differences and quirks). It can be easy to judge someone and think they are not worthy of our affections, sympathy, time or attention. Despite how we feel, and how easy it is to neglect what God calls us to do, we should set aside our 'petty' differences and do it anyway.

My parents have taught me so much and this is just one of the lessons I have learnt watching them. They are not pushovers or vulnerable or naive, no, they are genuinely awesome people who are able to put their judgements aside and do what we should be doing for our fellow man, serving one another. It can be hard helping 'idiots' but we are to do our bit. IF everyone was like my parents, the world would be a fabulous place (it would also be very tidy and there would be no weeds :))

Blogger is back in town 2

Just added some pics from the last few days. Sorry I have been so slack!!

Well tomorrow is back to school and back to routine, perhaps. The holidays went too quickly, got far too little done and many sleepless nights due to a sick, teething toddler. Apart from that though, it has been fabulous spending time with hubby and Jos. She seems to be earning so much at the moment with her new favourite word being 'uh-oh'. Her favourite word is still daddy and they have had lots of fun palying all sorts of 'rough and tumble games'

Our trip to the Goldcoast went fairly well, the trip back was like murder - Jos cried most of the way home (about 3 hours!!) Being sick and teething are not a great for travelling. We enjoyed some time in the sun at the beach, ribs, time with friends, a visit with our old church on Easter and Joscelyn's first Easter egg hunt.

Anyway, I have made Josci's lunch, ironed a few things, watched the voice and now we are watching the start of the Logies...I reckon dreamland is calling. Look forward to your continued reading :)

Love the illustrations

Found some great bargains at a bookstore. I had to take this book for Josci. I just love this giraffe!!! She is still at the 'tearing pages' age but I am sure once this passes she will love it.

Yesterday hubby and I celebrated our 7 year wedding anniversary. Jos went to daycare and we went to the Bay, walked along the esplanade, went to some shops (and of course bought stuff for Jos hehe) and had a yummy lunch together.

Jos moved up to the toddler group yesterday. WE were a bit concerned about the sleeping arrangements. She sleeps in her pram at home and at daycare up until now. In the toddlers room they sleep on little matresses. Believe it or not, both yesterday and today she napped with little fuss. today she slept for over an hour and when she woke, lay quietly looking at books until the others woke up too!! I think I may need them to record how they get this right???

We are off to the Goldcoast and Brisbane for a few days. The weather has been great by us and seems there too so hoping it will remain so. Looking forward to getting away and spending time with the family.

Oh yes, on Sunday I finished 'Pride and Prejudice' :( Loved it!!!!! Am now moving on to the grade 12 set work 'On the Jellicoe Road'. Two chapters in, I am intrigued...I miss PnP though. I may have to read it again but I have some other books to get through first...

Anyway I am packed but need to go pack Jos' bag for tomorrow and it is getting late. I may be MIA for a few days depending on signal and whether my photos upload.

If I don't 'see' you, have a wonderful Easter remembering the death of Jesus, celebrating His resurrection and rejoicing in His amazing Grace and love for us.

Parents in the park

Spent a lovely morning in the park with mum's (and dad's) group. Since most of us having returned to work, it has been ages since we have all gotten together. A gorgeous day, the kiddies had a great time on the grass, slides etc and just able to relax a little was so nice. Plus I got a sleep in until 7.30 am (despite Jos waking up at 5 and hubby having risen at 2am - to watch a rugby game!) I offered to get up so he could get some sleep but he didn't want to. Yay for me. I don't imagine his eyes are going to stay open very long tonight though.
